Strange as it may seem, anyone’s business / organization / passion can become stronger and more authentic by including sustainability in its behaviors. Do you have the expertise and knowledge to help yourself?
World’s energy systems vulnerable to climate impacts, report warns – 18 Jun 2014 – News from BusinessGreen
If you have a tourism industry in your local town, city or region; you need to discuss and plan to implement behaviors that will help to adapt to Climate Change. This is not weather change, I assume you all ready to that by preparing for hurricanes or tornados or flooding. What I am talking about is the fact that over years our climate will change, getting warmer, getting wetter or drier, certain plants not being able to grow anymore and others flourishing, animals changing and other qualities of our environment to numerous to mention. Will you help to prepare your grandchildren and their grandchildren or will you figure they will be able to figure it out when their time comes?

I believe we need to learn as much as we can about short term and long term adaptation to the changing climate and weather patterns. Even if it is only getting a little bit hotter next year or the year after, do we know if the sun’s rays are getting stronger by the same degree or not? If there will be a significant sea level rise in the next 75 years how to we help to protect and give our grandchildren the best possible opportunities for a productive and healthy life?

Thanks for the follow. I am very passionate about helping people to become sustainable. Behaviors like growing our own food and getting our own energy from the sun and wind are going to become survival tactics in the next 20 – 25 years. Not because you wouldn’t be able to buy them but because they will be priced so high most people will not be able to afford them or we will be in servitude to the ones who will supply it to us. We do not need to be tied to buying, buying, buying everything that is put on the market. We can make it ourselves to a very large degree. Just think about all the ‘stuff’ you buy and then throw away because someone tells you that you need to buy the same thing but ‘new’!!!!
Also think about what it was like to be in a community instead of in front of a TV all day long!
