Hefty Global Goals from a Vatican Meeting: Stabilizing the Climate, Energy for All and an Inclusive Economy – NYTimes.com.

Will this have any effect at all on human behavior? Will there be a negative reaction to this action by people who deny the science involved?

U.S. Climate Has Already Changed, Study Finds, Citing Heat and Floods – NYTimes.com.

This is not myth. This is fact. Reality! We cannot change it, we cannot stop it, we cannot even slow it down; all we can do is work to save our great grandchildren’s grandchildren.

10 New Charts That Will Make You Want To Stop Global Warming

10 New Charts That Will Make You Want To Stop Global Warming.

This is not about proof or who is the cause. This is about making sure I hand down the tools that future generations might (or might not for all the skeptics) need. In any case these tools will be useful if none of this happens or the will ensure the survival of the people that are prepared. Remember the old story of giving a man a fish and he can eat for a day or give a man a fishing line/pole and he can feed his family for a lifetime? We have the responsibility and are accountable to future generations to give them as many tools as we can to handle whatever the future holds. The Earth will survive no matter what because the Earth has no greed or expectations or money or value or self-interest or religion. We really are that insignificant in the larger scheme of the Universe.

Top Tips for Finding Responsible Animal Tourism – Ecotourism Blog – GreenLoons

Top Tips for Finding Responsible Animal Tourism – Ecotourism Blog – GreenLoons.

Where do you go to see animals? Do you have to go to a foreign country to see wild animals? Do you think about this issue of responsible tourism? Is it sustainable also? Who determines this? Do this help the animals in any way, shape or form? If this costs more money why should WE have to pay it?

A Prescription For Nature | National Parks Conservation Association

A Prescription For Nature | National Parks Conservation Association.

What can I say? I feel regenerated when I experience nature outdoors. When I am in The Bahamas I can stand by the shore and feel the breeze blowing in my face and wonder how far did this breath of air come to blow in my face? I can look up at night and see light from a million stars and wonder will I ever experience another world? What do get out of being in the outdoors?

Gardening: Nourishing the Environment and the Soul |

Gardening: Nourishing the Environment and the Soul |.

I live in South Florida so we have two growing seasons. I just turned my 4×8 raised bed over and mixed in some compost. I covered the bed with a bunch of pine needles which do a fairly good job of keeping back the weeds. I then promptly left town to manage the business my father left my brother and me in Exuma, Bahamas for a week. When I get back I am going to start some seeds so by the time they are ready the soil should be in better condition than it was last year. Our soil is very sandy here so you really need to keep building it up year after year. Comments, suggestions, feedback welcome.

Thanks to Miss Lou

Thanks for the follow. I am very passionate about helping people to become sustainable. Behaviors like growing our own food and getting our own energy from the sun and wind are going to become survival tactics in the next 20 – 25 years. Not because you wouldn’t be able to buy them but because they will be priced so high most people will not be able to afford them or we will be in servitude to the ones who will supply it to us. We do not need to be tied to buying, buying, buying everything that is put on the market. We can make it ourselves to a very large degree. Just think about all the ‘stuff’ you buy and then throw away because someone tells you that you need to buy the same thing but ‘new’!!!!

Also think about what it was like to be in a community instead of in front of a TV all day long!
